I visited this very pretty timber church in Suffolk to photograph the outside of the building, however, the sun was directly above and in line with the church making it impossible to shoot. Fortunately the inside of the church was really quite lovely!
Another glorious day meant it was way to hot to venture out until 8.00pm in the evening. With sunset not until 9.20pm that’s not such a problem, the woods were still really dark with the heavy summer canopy blocking out much of the sunlight…so, this is a public footpath we (still) haven’t followed across the field of barley. I haven’t done any HDR for a while – so it was nice to run this shot through Photomatix to create this shot.
It’s poppy time!
Blazing sunshine all day – the damselflies were very busy
I joined some of my colleagues from Bishop’s Stortford Camera Club today to photograph the carnival, including a brief timelapse.
Spotted this (and a fair few other) poppies on the road side on my morning walk around Great Dunmow in Essex.
Some glorious weather around at the moment and the early morning walk is featuring a lot of blue sky. Here’s one of the Pill boxes on my route that is rapidly disappearing under all the summer growth.
…it’s like watching paint dry!
Another experiment – my 2nd ever time lapse…a few things to do differently, but an interesting start – 900 images packed into this 37 second video.
Some more experimentation – this is an in camera double exposure – what you are seeing here is the view I could see with the ground immediately below me exposed over the top. This hasn’t come out as well as I’d hoped – the grain of the footpath is too thick – but it’s an interesting effect that I will try again
Spotted this rather colourful caterpillar on a walk around Roxwell, it’s a Mullein Moth Caterpillar
