The local Roman Catholic Church caught my eye in my search for lines and curves in Dunmow today.

I had to go to the Post Office this afternoon and got this grab shot on the way.

I had this picture in mind, but it was going to be a shot of the wall and windows further to the left…but the Doves (which I have never seen here before) were sat in the perfect spot…and then the lady opened her window…

I suspect she thought it rather odd a bloke taking a picture of her wall, but she didn’t say anything…

I’d forgotten how much fun the quick macro shot was – I haven’t done one of these since my last 365.

This is a macro of one of my little Dell computer speakers that sits on my desk – it’s silver so converting to black and white made on difference whatsoever ;-), except that I then knew it was definitely a black and white shot…

Lit with a small lamp…that I haven’t used since my last 365, so I now have that funny burnt dust smell around my desk!

I was pleased with this shot I took of these fading ivy leaves I spotted on my way to the Post Office this afternoon, the perfect simple composition that fulfilled the 365 brief nicely, just a shame I had a leaf yesterday as well…still, I do feel this is different enough to apply, and, if I’m honest, a much more interesting shot than yesterday’s.

Nature always has a way of providing what you are looking for, even if that is something as familiar as curves and lines. The back of this leaf caught my eye today.

You would be forgiven for not having noticed that this 365 project is themed. My wife picked out the theme from a bag with about 25 themes in it – this is supposed to give some focus to my photography. It’s worked…but I haven’t (until today) published an image that fits the theme of lines &/or curves. I’ve shot the images that fit the theme, but I have preferred other images that I have taken and so have published them instead. Strangely, it has made it easier (so far) to get my daily image, although it shouldn’t be difficult on Day 3! I will stick with the theme idea, but will continue publishing my favourite image of the day whether or not it fits the theme.

On my morning walk around Dunmow I regularly walk past this view…the sky certainly caught my eye today. Despite being an hour past sunrise there was still some nice light around.

I’m lazy…

You will have noticed that, since the end of my last 365 project (a photo a day for a year) some 21 months ago, the amount of updates on this blog has fallen dramatically. This coincides with a severe drop off in the amount of photography I have been doing becasue I haven’t had the push of getting out there every day…so I have started a new 365 project today.
