Of course, he wasn’t…but nor was he going to give his position away by moving..
I finally got chance to go back to Mundon to photograph the frozen oak trees there with my tripod. I was just settling down to photograph these when the landowner drove across the field and threw me off…in his words he was”really pissed off”! There is a clear sign telling people “Private Land No Access without permission” so I really didn’t have a leg to stand on and retired to the adjacent public path to take this image. I have no idea how you get “permission”, but get it before you move closer than the path to take your shots!
It’s a 9.5 minute exposure to get the clouds to streak like that using a 16 stop ND filter
I’m still 4th in the Flickr competition I take part in…and here comes the subject I have been dreading ever since the heavens opened a couple of days ago…Bone Dry. As everything outside is now sodden I have had to try and think up something that fits the brief indoors. I’m not entirely convinced with this…and I have 24 hours before I have to submit…so at least I have something!
I was busy photographing my wife’s latest bags again today – if you want to see many more hand made bags and purses like this head over to her store by clicking here.
It started raining while we were out and about last night, and with the odd half hour here and there it pretty much hasn’t stopped since. Not a bad thing as we have been short of rain for the last month or two, but irritating when you need to take a picture for a competition when the subject is “Bone Dry”
I take part in an occasional competition on Flickr called F64 Challenge, in this months competition I am currently 4th after two rounds. This rounds challenge is “Morning Light”. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve basically had pretty flat grey morning light outside, and besides…I’m not getting up at 5 in the morning on the off chance 😉 So, here is my interpretation of the challenge…let’s see how we do 😉
This is a detail of a larger image of this tree…I preferred the detail on the leaves that you get in this cropped down version…see below for the original version…
Visited Walton on the Naze again today to shoot the Pill Boxes slowly being consumed by the North Sea. More images below…
Look, it’s been raining, and I’ve only just got up, and I’ve not had time to brush my hair…
That’s all I have
