My old watch stopped working a few months ago, well, the battery ran out. It’s one of those kinetic type watches that auto-winds, but, for whatever reason it also needs a battery, presumably to store the charge. Whatever, it lasted the best part of 12 years so I can’t complain…I really must get a new battery for it 😉
I had a great idea for a photograph this evening, but really couldn’t get it to work…I’ll be trying it again but was running out of evening…so out came one of my favourite stand ins – my headphones. These are relatively new and replace an old pair that completely fell apart due to heavy use. You’ll find a shot of my old headphones here. So my new Sennheiser HD215 headphones are shown here, I have no doubt that these will appear again through the year 😉
I have a number of photographic jobs at home – one of which is the relentless pursuit of cat photography and the other is as the official photographer for The Crimson Rabbit (www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk).
My wife completed another one of her Glamour Waves lines today so I was summoned to break out the camera and photograph it so she could load it onto her Etsy sales area here. She’s got quite an extensive range of high quality crochet and knitted goods available along with decorative dolls and the like – well worth a visit 😉
Needless to say, this wasn’t going to be my daily shot…but the shots I took of what I wanted to publish failed miserably, so this was a useful back up.
I was commissioned to come up with some product photography for the company I work for – here’s an example of a shot of a digital scale I took – the company required a white background with a gentle reflection to complement the look and feel they had for their other products. To make things slightly more complicated I only had an ex-demo unit to work with so had to spend some time cleaning it up to make it look nice and new. The image was used on their website.
This is one of my wife’s craft projects, a Tilda Doll. Not bad for her first go! Visit www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk for many more dolls, scarves, christmas decorations and the like.
We visited “And Sew On” at the Blake House Craft centre in Raine today for Debbie to pick up a few bits and pieces and I took this shot of some of the huge stock of different linens they have there.
Tonight’s photo has been in my head for some time and was inspired by The King Blues track 5 Bottles of Shampoo, which you can listen to below. There has always been a lot of shampoo by our bath and those of you who know me will know that it is not used by me – because I’m folically challenged, not because i am dirty 😉
She put on the counter some bread and milk too,
and then she pulled out 5 different bottles of shampoo.
And I thought to myself, “I will never understand women.”
