This is one of those shots that needs to be taken again…but next time it needs to be done right…a number of school boy errors, but the worst one was taking everything down and putting it all away before checking the photograph was OK.

There has already been too much fixing done on this photo…and a lot more needs to be done. In the end I decided I would keep this version for the moment and update with a “proper” version later on.

This shot basically laid the ground work for the images that were to follow through this next week…

I was chatting with a friend at our camera club this evening. He is also doing a 365 this year and he was telling me about how he had taken loads of pictures but just didn’t like what he got. This happens to me all the time…and of course, I got home after camera club and hit the exact same problem.

I had a great idea for this picture…but couldn’t get it to work no matter what, but as I explained to my friend, the very fact that you have got the camera out and tried means you have succeeded…you won’t produce an award winner every day (week/month or year in my case 😉 ), but that is unrealistic. The aim of these 365 projects (for me at least) is to keep me photographing…if I stop, then I barely get the camera out, and that’s a bad thing!

So – you may (or may not based on this first effort!) see this car and its green Porsche friend in upcoming shots…fingers crossed!

It’s amazing what you can do with a couple of small torches and some silver foil.

For those of you who don’t know, bokeh is a Japanese word that describes the blobs of out of focus light in the background.

I’m 50 this year…my Mum still buys me a tube of Smarties for Christmas, as she has since I was a child…and I’d complain bitterly if she didn’t 😉

…poached, boiled or fried…

If you ever listened to The Jam, you might recognise this…otherwise, it’s just a bowl full of eggs 😉

Today was very much a “What have I got on my desk that I can photograph” day. I’m slightly concerned that I found this to photograph as it means I have a cable somewhere missing its connector. It’s also interesting that the camera turned this item bronze, as it is very much silver in real life.

Our Alessi Duck timer seems to have sprung some eggs…

Dashing off to Leeds today for our family Christmas get together, before I left the posty arrived with a little early Christmas present for me – a book of all Sleaford Mods lyrics by Jason Williamson. I loved the irony of the fact that stamps of Margaret Thatcher had been used to send the item.
