bokeh

There is a perfectly good reason for me having taken this shot…I’m just not at a liberty to say why at the moment 😉

This was all a bit of a dogs dinner…but I ended up quite liking this abstract shot of the view through the car window in Tesco’s car park!

Playing with my instant bokeh generator (silver foil and torch – see 141/365v3 for more) I found a champagne cork from New Year’s eve and this turned into a mission to make an image out of a cork and some black velvet I have. One cork became two in photoshop and this image was born…might make quite a nice Christmas/Celebration card…

It’s amazing what you can do with a couple of small torches and some silver foil.

For those of you who don’t know, bokeh is a Japanese word that describes the blobs of out of focus light in the background.

He’s a very willing model when a fee of 4 x Dreamies are offered for fulfilling modelling duties 😉

Happy New Year to you all!

Work is over and Christmas has started in the Seton household…I’ve wrapped up all my presents for the big day and looked at the (few) pictures I have taken for the 365…and they are rubbish…it’s 23.30 and I need to find something to photograph…and I spot this character in a corner of the room…perfect!

Playing with some office fittings this evening…any ideas what it is?

Wandering around Dunmow on a cold evening looking for shots, I thought the various lights in town would make a slightly different shot of the High Street, turning them into out of focus bokeh.

359/366 The Snow Globe

This made its debut this time last year as a macro picture, today I have taken a slightly different picture with a lot more of the Christmas tree (and therefore its bokeh) on show…what I did forget was to shake it…so today there is no falling snow in the snow globe.

321/366 Steel Bokeh aka Balls of Steel

I found these steel balls with holes drilled through the middle and was trying to make a bit of an abstract image, but I actually preferred this image because of the bokeh surrounding the steel balls.
