colour pop

I spent an incredibly blowy afternoon walking amongst the boats at Thorpe Bay this afternoon. I had hoped to be able to get some nice long exposures with great reflections in the water, but that wasn’t to be with the gale blowing in from the sea.

Still, I was able to get a few decent shots, and still have a few others that I can work on later.

This is no reflection on what actually happened on Christmas Day – we had a lovely day (and a very pleasant morning walk in Rowney Woods, which we had all to ourselves)…but it was an amusing title.


After 3 days of mobile photographs it was nice to get back to my “proper” camera. We had a camera club meeting this morning and as we left I notice this blue fork in the garden. When I processed it I decided to have a go at that colour popping processing and quite liked the effect…but also really quite liked the full colour so I did one half way in-between, and really quite liked that version…but which one to publish? “Bugger it” I thought – triptych!
