fallen

Popped out for a quick march around part of Alton Water this lunchtime and came across this fallen tree on the edge of the reservoir.

You see that cloud heading towards me…that dropped about 60 gallons of water on my head…I had no brolly or coat and was 10 minutes from the car…I spent a very uncomfortable afternoon in the office gently dripping at my desk…still, I was happy with the picture, so it’s not all bad 😉

I love this part of the Suffolk coast, the coastline has a number of trees growing along it and many are succombing to the advance of the water. I like the fact that this particular fallen tree does look like it is trying to escape its watery grave.

316/366 Autumn Fall

We took a walk around the countryside immediately around Stansted Mountfitchet this afternoon. For those of you who don’t know, this is the town that gives Stansted Airport (London’s 3rd airport) its name. Strangely, we didn’t notice hearing any planes at all during our 2 hour walk, but we could always here the hum of the M11.

I popped out this morning on the search for pictures of leaves. This was one of the shots I got:
