Spotted this (and a fair few other) poppies on the road side on my morning walk around Great Dunmow in Essex.
Not much going on during my morning walks at the moment…but the Dog Roses have started to sprout up.
This evening we spent a pleasant couple of hours in one of Bishop’s Stortford Camera Club’s members gardens being shown how she creates some amazing shots that have wowed everyone over the last few years.
I enjoyed this flower, I have no idea what it is called but only one had bloomed so far the rest were in varying stages of development which I thought created a nice tryptich.
We always get these pretty little flowers at the bottom of our garden. I’ve never noticed the pollen/stamen before.
We visited Arger Fen & Spouse’s Vale in Suffolk today and had a good walk around the area. The bluebells are in full flow – I have included a shot of them below – but there were also loads of these flowers around and we weren’t sure what they were, so I took a shot to find out…and ended up really liking the shot, so went with this, rather than the bluebells for today’s shot.
The flowers Debbie received for her birthday are on their way out, Debbie thought inflicting some violence on them would be a good idea…she wanted the introduction of tomato ketchup as well…but I drew the line there 😉
After all the (photographic) excitement of the last few days I had a day on the PC sorting out Bishop’s Stortford camera clubs annual digital exhibition entries…and all of a sudden it was 10.30pm. So I grabbed one of the flowers that Debbie received for her birthday and shot this simple quicky flower shot
It was Debbie’s birthday today , so not much time for photography, then a curry and 3 bottles of Cobra meant that the photography that did take place wasn’t quite as focused as it should have been!
A bloom in the Bacara Resort, Santa Barbara
Walking around Doctors Pond in Great Dunmow I noticed some pretty flowers in bloom in some of the gardens that adjoin the pond. This is a black and white version of the shot – if you are interested I have included the original colour version of the photograph…which I liked, but fancied playing around in Photoshop with it and came up with the main image.
