One of the bands I have followed for the last few years (including being thanked on the sleeve notes of their 2nd album) are The Skints. I’ve seen them many times live and will hopefully be seeing them on their forthcoming tour (especially as they are being supported by the rather marvelous Hollie Cook). The last time I saw them live was at the Koko in London – here are a few of my pictures from that concert. Whilst you are looking at those you can have a listen/watch of their latest video which is from their forthcoming album (out on Monday) called FM…I’m really looking forward to it.
The Camera Club Summer Programme gets better and better. Tonight, in the lovely balmy late Spring weather, the Bishops Stortford Camera Club gathered under a bridge on the Flitch Way in Takeley…and tried to set fire to it 😉
OK – all was perfectly safe and the only thing that was going to get burnt was our intrepid leader and instructor Brian who was spinning the wire wool! We were even visited by a number of bats and a deer…great evening!
Pictures can sometimes be misleading. You wouldn’t believe that, top right there is a scrap yard and criss-crossing back and forth all over the fields and trees are a number of electricity pylons and a telephone line – it did not look appealing, but with a careful bit of positioning a quite idyllic scene is achieved.
