It does exactly what it says on the tin – it was freezing and it was foggy!

It really hasn’t been the best weather down here the last week or so – freezing fog this morning…lovely

We took a walk around a small village called Sisted near Braintree last week. It’s probably the first walk we’ve had in the area that we didn’t enjoy mainly because the map/instructions weren’t very good/accurate and the local farmers were harvesting the sugar beet meaning that the public footpaths across fields were completely ploughed over and we didn’t fancy the dash across whilst tractors churned up and down the field – we are always expecting to hear the words “Gerr orf moi larrnddd” shouted at us at the best of times… So we were a bit crotchety with each other and cut the walk down and marched back to the car in a sulk.

So, I went through the pictures I had made on the walk, and frankly the mood of the walk showed through in the quality of the pictures so I’d looked through them and decided I didn’t really like any of them. So, a couple of days ago OnOne Software updated their Photo Suite plug in for photoshop and I download the new software and loaded it onto my PC…it crashed the PC. Actually, it didn’t crash the PC on its own – I had a couple of other programs running and my computer spec is right on the edge of its RAM to run the program, let alone resource guzzlers like Lightroom and Photoshop. So, closing all unnecessary programs down, I got the new plug in working and used it to create yesterdays black & white image.

Tonights image I simply used the colour & tone Auto Fix button and I suddenly had a fabulous, vibrant picture – the original was really flat and lifeless. Hope you enjoy it as well.
